Frequently asked questions

Genitive Ink turns your email newsletters into a personalised ad-free print magazine, delivered to your door.

How do I get my email newsletters printed as a magazine?

Connect Gmail with read-only access, forward newsletters to your private @inbox.genitive.ink address, or add RSS feeds by URL. Genitive Ink typesets everything that arrives into a perfect-bound print magazine and mails it to you weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Substack, Beehiiv, Ghost, Buttondown, and similar platforms are all supported.

What does Genitive Ink cost?

Subscriptions run $26.99 to $37.99 per issue across five plans (80 to 280 pages), billed per delivery on a weekly, biweekly, or monthly cadence. A one-time 80-page issue costs $26.99 with no subscription. Cancel anytime.

Full plan details are on the pricing page.

Do newsletter authors get a say in being printed?

Yes. Full texts sourced from platforms like Substack are permissioned: authors claim their newsletter and approve or decline each reader, or grant all readers at once. Authors can claim their newsletter here; the policy is described on the Substack & reprints page.

How often does the magazine arrive?

On the cadence you pick: weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Each issue collects what arrived from your sources in that window and arranges it like a proper periodical, with a cover, table of contents, and page numbers. You can pause or cancel anytime.

Can I gift a magazine to someone else?

Yes. You can send a copy of your magazine to one recipient at a discount off the plan price, either as a one-time gift or recurring with each issue, shipped to their address.
